Black and white photo of a woman sitting on the floor in front of a plain wall. She has wavy hair and is wearing a dark blazer and wide-leg pants. Her left hand is touching her hair, and her right hand is resting on her knee. There is a toy robot on the floor in front of her, and a piece of cloth or sheet on the floor near her feet.

A MESSAGE from ZEE

I’m Zaira — though most people call me Zee — the heart behind Zaira Marina Photography.

I’m a Houston based wedding and elopement photographer documenting love stories with intention, emotion, and honesty. My approach is deeply personal because I believe your wedding photos should feel like you years from now, not just what was trending at the time. The quiet moments, the in-between glances, the chaos, the tears, the laughter with your people… those are the things I’m drawn to most.

A black-and-white photo shows a man and woman standing on a grand staircase with ornate metal railing, possibly dressed for a wedding, in an elegant interior with a large column and a decorative lantern hanging from the ceiling.
Line drawing of a person with a plant in front of them, likely inspired by artistic or botanical illustration styles.

What started as a creative outlet quickly became something much bigger: a front row seat to some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives. Over the years, I’ve realized my role goes far beyond taking photos: I make sure you actually pause and soak in the moment.

As a mom of two, I understand how quickly life moves and how important it is to preserve the milestones that matter. That perspective has shaped not only the way I photograph weddings, but also the kind of experience I provide: intentional, connected, and fully present.

I’m not drawn to weddings simply because they’re big or extravagant. I’m drawn to stories that feel meaningful. Whether it’s an intimate courthouse elopement in Houston, a destination weekend with your closest people, or a celebration that breaks tradition completely, I care most about creating images that feel timeless and true to your story.

More than anything, I want my clients to feel seen, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they inquire to long after the gallery is delivered. Because to me, this has never just been about photos. It’s about connection.
